Series of event to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Residents of Vashi, Turbhe, and Sanpada are gearing up for a series of events to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, organized by various organizations.

Shiv Pratishthan is hosting an exhibition showcasing weapons from the Shiv era at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Vashi from March 27 to 28. The exhibition, open to all Shiv devotees, particularly invites students from schools to witness this historical display. Additionally, Shiv Jyot will be brought from Raigad to Vashi on March 28, with enthusiasts gathering to welcome the flame and carry it to their neighborhoods for local celebrations. Earthen mangal kalash from Raigad will also be distributed during the event, accompanied by captivating electric lighting throughout Vashi Chowk.

Likewise, Ganesh Mhangre has announced a grand procession by the Puneri Dhol Tasha team at APMC Market, adding to the fervour of the Shiv Jayanti celebrations.

Sanpada Samajik Sanstha will host a Shiv Jayanti celebration at Hutatma Babu Genu Ground in Sanpada. The evening will feature Shiv Pratima Pooja, Lathi Kathi, and Swordsmanship Prastikike, followed by a lecture by Pradeep Kadam from Shiv Pratishthan and lunch.

Collaborating with Shivba Mitra Mandal and Sanpada Yuva Social Sanstha, activities near the Shiv Sena branch at Sanpada village will include a blood donation camp, Shiv Pratima Pujan, and Satyanarayan Puja.

Furthermore, Vashi Sector 15 will witness Shiv Pratima Puja, Haldikunku ceremony for women, health check-ups, and a visit from the Home Minister, organized by Shri Dattaguru Balgopal Utsav Mandal and Shivswarajya Pratishthan.
