In a bid to streamline the election process and ensure compliance with regulations, Bhiwandi Lok Sabha Constituency has rolled out a one-window scheme for obtaining campaign licenses. Spearheaded by Constituency Election Officer, Sanjay Jadhav, this initiative aims to simplify the process for candidates and political parties.

Under this scheme, the office of the Election Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer now serve as one-stop destinations for acquiring all necessary licenses pertaining to election campaigning. Sanjay Jadhav emphasized the importance of obtaining proper permissions for campaigning activities, warning of repercussions for those who engage in campaigning without authorization.

Additionally, a standing committee comprising representatives from major political parties has been formed to oversee election-related matters in the constituency. At a recent meeting chaired by Sanjay Jadhav, representatives were briefed on the importance of accurately completing nomination papers and adhering to campaign finance regulations.

Candidates were reminded to disclose candidate information publicly through various media channels as per Election Commission guidelines. They were also instructed to open a dedicated bank account for election expenses and adhere to the prescribed expenditure limit.

Furthermore, the introduction of the one-window scheme aims to expedite the process of obtaining permissions by centralizing the application process. Candidates must apply for all licenses at least three days in advance, and permissions will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Strict regulations are in place regarding the use of vehicles for campaigning, publication of campaign materials, and engagement on social and electronic media platforms. Sanjay Jadhav reiterated that any violations of election laws and regulations would result in appropriate action against the erring candidate and party.
