Raigad: The use of drones, remote-controlled microlight aircraft, paragliding, paramotors, hang gliders, hot air balloons, etc., have been banned around sensitive locations in Raigad district.

The prohibitory orders have been issued by Kishan N Jawale, district magistrate, Raigad. It follows a police advisory by the superintendent of police, Raigad, regarding the use of drones, remote-controlled microlight aircraft, paragliding, paramotors, etc. by Pakistan and terrorist groups supported by it.

Any violation of the order will render violators liable to action and punishment under section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
