Thane: Polcie have arrested two persons for committing house break-ins in Thane, Navi Mumbai and Mumbai.

The accused have been identified as Yusuf Nurislam Sheikh (28) and Maruk Nasir Sheikh (30). Six cases each are registered against both the accused.

The police also recovered valuables worth Rs 6.98 lakh from the accused.

Investigations revealed the accused had burgled a flat in Triveni Sangam Society, Kalwa and decamped with 55 grams of gold ornaments, 60 grams of silver ornaments collectively worth Rs 3.51 lakh.

Another case in which the accused had stolen gold ornaments, a Nikon camera worth and a rickshaw collectively worth Rs 3.2 lakh.

The duo was arrested by a team of crime branch unit-1 of Kalwa police station.
