Thane: The Majiwada Flyover will remain closed to traffic due to metro construction work till May 31. Pankaj Shirsat, deputy commissioner of police, Thane, has issued a traffic advisory for a closure of complete traffic at night.

The closure will affect all vehicles heading towards Ghodbunder, Nashik and Bhiwandi via the Majiwada Bridge.

According to the advisory, traffic restrictions will be enforced from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am till May 31.

The construction work involves erecting columns, jack beams, and rafters for the roof of the upcoming Majiwada Metro Station.

Entry closed: The entry of all types of vehicles going to Ghodbunder or Bhiwandi via Majiwada flyover via Jupiter Y Junction have been barred at the beginning of the bridge in front of Viviana Mall.

An alternative route has been proposed for vehicles going through the said route. Vehicles can proceed straight on the slip road in front of Jupiter Hospital and proceed to the desired destination via Kapurbavdi Circle.
