Panvel: Describing the eight-day acting workshop currently underway at Panvel as ‘highly significant”, veteran theatre artist Dr Jayant Shevatekar said the training camp will go a long way in nurturing cultural values in the participants.
Dr Shevatekar was speaking at the workshop jointly organised by the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad (Panvel branch).
About 60 theatre enthusiasts—ages 8 to 16 and 16 to 60— are being trained in two batches at the Panvel camp.
During the session conducted by Shevatekar, the 8-16 batch were introduced to the joy of dance and Navarasas in acting. For the senior group, the theatre activist explained the ABCD of acting, its importance and also the audition requirements for TV serials.
