In a significant development aimed at fostering skill development and employment opportunities, Tata Technology Limited, in collaboration with the Industries Department of the Maharashtra Government, is set to establish Centres for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) in Kalyan and Ambernath cities. The initiative, spearheaded by Member of Parliament for the Kalyan Lok Sabha Constituency, Dr. Shrikant Shinde, marks a vital step towards nurturing industrial talent and promoting economic growth in the region.

A memorandum of understanding is scheduled to be signed between Tata Technology Limited Pune and the Maharashtra Industries Department, signalling the commencement of the ambitious project. Under the visionary guidance of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and with the support of Industry Minister Uday Samant, these centres are poised to become vital hubs for industrial training and skill development.

With an allocated fund of Rs. 192 crore, the centres will cater to the educational and vocational needs of students, offering them avenues for acquiring practical skills and securing employment opportunities in the industrial sector. Ratan Tata, the luminary behind Tata Technology Limited, has thrown his weight behind the initiative, recognizing its potential to drive socio-economic progress in the region.

The establishment of these centres underscores the state government's commitment to bolstering skill development initiatives and facilitating job creation. Through concerted efforts led by MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, similar skill development centres have been successfully set up in other districts, with Chandrapur and Gadchiroli serving as notable examples.

Approximately 7000 students are expected to benefit annually from the training provided at these centres, contributing to the availability of skilled manpower for the burgeoning industrial landscape of Kalyan and Ambernath. The project will not only empower students but also provide a much-needed impetus to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

With Tata Technology Limited financing 85 percent of the total project cost and the remaining 15 percent being covered by the Maharashtra Government's Industries Department, the initiative represents a collaborative endeavour aimed at driving inclusive growth and fostering a conducive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
