Vashi: The Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha hosted a grand music concert titled Carnataka Keraleeyam on June 7.

Rare gems of Maharaja Swati Thirunal and other leading composers of Kerala were rendered by the disciples of Shanmuka Ratna Radha Namboodiri. The vocalists included Dharini Veeeraraghavan, Vimarshni Santosh, Gayathry Krishnachandran, Anupama Devarajan and Hari Kumar. They were accompanied by Balasubramanian R Sharma (violin), Hema Balasubramanian (flute), Praveena Gouthaman (veena) and Rohit Prasad (mridangam). Beginning with Nattai raga and ending with Yadukula Kamboji, the ensemble presented more than a dozen of rich ragas and dazzled the audience. Secretary Usha Ravi felicitated Guru Radha Namboodiri and the artistes.
