Kalyan: Unconfirmed reports of drones circling over Aadharwadi area of Kalyan West left residents in a panic mode.

Considering the seriousness of the incident, Bazar Peth police immediately rushed to the spot, DCP Atul Zende said in a statement.

Police are closely monitoring the entire matter. One aircraft was flying at a low altitude while the other two aircraft were flying to the desired location. Citizens mistook them for drones and called 112 to inform the police.

In response to India’s Op Sindoor, Pakistan launched drone attacks which were foiled by Indian defence forces.

Police has appealed to people to not fall prey to rumours and to check with government agencies.
