Commuters travelling along the Thane-Belapur road are experiencing significant delays and frustration due to ongoing construction work on the route.

Rajendra Kumar, a daily commuter to Turbhe, shared his ordeal, "The Thane-Belapur route has become more congested lately. A large section of the road near Turbhe is closed for construction work, which is causing a lot of inconvenience for us. The traffic jams are longer, and it takes much more time to reach our destinations."

While the roadwork promises to enhance traffic flow in the long term, the current situation is a source of daily stress for those dependent on this route. Ms. Shiji Pullikkal, a resident of Koparkhairane, expressed her frustration: "The time it takes for me to reach my office in Airoli has nearly doubled because of the slow-moving traffic. The route is crowded and busy all the time. We really need more traffic police present to help manage the flow of traffic and reduce the heavy congestion we are all dealing with right now."

Commuters are urging authorities to expedite the repair work. One commuter, who wished to remain anonymous, said, "The construction work has been going on for weeks. It’s about time authorities wrap the work up as we commuters are the ones suffering. This is impacting our schedules negatively. I urge authorities to prioritize the completion of repairs to restore normalcy on the route and improve our commuting conditions."
