Panvel: A fire broke out at a shoe shop called in sector 1, New Panvel city around 4:30 am today. The fire was extinguished by the New Panvel fire brigade personnel.

The shop was completely gutted in the fire, however no casualties were reported.

On April 22, between 4.30 am and 4.45 am, the fire station at Naveen Panvel was informed that smoke was coming out of the shop in Sai Sahnivas Co-operative Society, Sector-1.

When the fire brigade personnel reached the spot, they saw smoke coming out of the closed shop.

As the fire was intense, water tankers and Panvel fire brigade was also sought. A JCB was also commandeered to clear the goods from the shop to control the fire. The fire was completely extinguished.
