In a startling revelation, Prakash Bhoir, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Kalyan district president, has alleged that the names of approximately one lakh voters from the Dombivli Assembly Constituency are missing from the voter list. This unprecedented incident has raised concerns about the integrity of the electoral process in the region.

Prakash Bhoir highlighted this issue, stating that such a massive omission is unprecedented and points to significant deficiencies in the voter registration process.

He urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and take corrective measures to restore confidence in the electoral process.

Highlighting the issue, Jayashree Joshi, one of the voters whose name was missing from the voters' list, said, “Despite voting diligently for the past 45 years from Dombivli West, I was surprised to find that my name was missing from the voting list. This unprecedented occurrence left me deeply disappointed.”

Long queues of voters have gathered outside polling stations in Dombivli since morning, eager to exercise their democratic right. However, many citizens, including Joshi, were unable to cast their votes due to the absence of their names on the voting list. Joshi expressed her regret over being unable to vote for the first time in her life, highlighting the significance of this omission.

In an effort to address this issue, Joshi approached Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan to voice her concerns. Former Nagsevak Shailesh Dhatrak and former corporator Manisha Dhatrak pledged to relay Joshi's grievances to the election office, advocating for a resolution to ensure such discrepancies do not recur in the future.
