The fear gripping Navi Mumbai over the disappearance of eight minor children has been dispelled as they have been found, according to the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe. The incident had sparked concerns among parents, teachers, and schools in various areas of the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate.
Former MP Sanjeev Naik and Navi Mumbai BJP District President Sandeep Naik met the Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe to ascertain the facts surrounding the alarming situation.
Reports of missing children had surfaced from locations including Panvel, Kalamboli, Ulwe, Koparkhairane, Rabale, raising suspicions about the possible involvement of a child abduction gang. Concerns mounted as citizens speculated whether the children were being targeted for illicit purposes.
However, Milind Bharambe clarified that the eight children have been located. Seven of them have already returned home, while one is in his native village and is expected to return shortly. Contrary to initial fears, none of these children were kidnapped. Instead, they were found to be away from home for various minor reasons.
District President Sanjeev Naik has urged parents, teachers, and schools not to succumb to panic. He acknowledged the natural anxiety caused by the news of eight children going missing on a single day but emphasized that the Commissioner of Police has clarified that no abductions occurred.
Naik expressed his gratitude to Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe for promptly investigating the matter and bringing the facts to light. He appealed to citizens to remain alert but cautioned against believing rumours circulating on social media platforms.
