Prompt fire brigade response ensures the safety of passengers  

On Thursday, NMMT bus route no. 24 caught fire while it was en route to Ghansoli depot from Thane. The municipal fire brigade promptly responded to the incident and successfully extinguished the fire.
The unexpected smoke emanated from the bus at Reliable Bus Stop on Belapur Road in Thane.
The driver promptly realized the situation and safely evacuated the passengers from the bus. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
