Panvel: In a shocking incident on May 4, a yet-to-be-identified person allegedly threw a seven-month-old stray dog from the top of the Marathon Nexon building in Palaspe, Panvel, causing the death of the animal.

The Panvel city police have registered a case against the unidentified person under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and started searching for him.

The incident happened on May 4 at around 5:15 pm. The animal was thrown from the top of the 31-storey tower. Security guards were the first to discover the incident during a routine search of the premises.
