Warns of agitation if demands aren't met

Navi Mumbai: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has initiated 'Rojgar Hakk Saptah' from 7th August to 13th August, aiming to ensure that 80% of jobs in all companies across Maharashtra are reserved for locals. At a press conference held today at the Navi Mumbai central office, MNS spokesperson and Navi Mumbai city president Gajanan Kale announced the details of the campaign.

As part of the 'Rojgar Hakk Saptah,' MNS will conduct signature campaigns outside various railway stations and distribute leaflets door-to-door, urging Navi Mumbaikars to support the movement. Additionally, the party will collect resumes from unemployed youth, which will be forwarded to companies to demand employment opportunities for locals.

Despite a government mandate requiring 80% of jobs in Maharashtra to be given to local residents, MNS alleges that the rule is not being enforced, leaving many Marathi youth unemployed. In response, MNS has already submitted a letter to the Department of Skill Development, Employment, and Industry, demanding action. Over the next few days, the party plans to submit further statements to various government agencies and companies.

Gajanan Kale issued a stern warning, stating that if their demands are not met, they will stage stronger protest. He further said, the party is determined to end unemployment in Navi Mumbai and ensure that jobs generated in the region go to local youth.

MNS encourages unemployed Navi Mumbaikars to register by submitting their resumes via WhatsApp or email to participate in the campaign. Several key MNS leaders, including Savinay Mhatre, Vilas Ghone, Sachin Kadam, Abhijit Desai, Dr. Aarti Dhumal, and Sandesh Dongre, were present at the press conference, showing their support for the initiative.
