Navi Mumbai: Sharmila Thackeray, accompanied by a delegation from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), met the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe to demand justice for the recent brutal murders of Yashshree Shinde from Uran and Akshata Mhatre from Koparkhairane.

In the meeting, Thackeray voiced concerns about the increasing violence against women, citing recent tragic incidents, including the torture and murder of a girl in Shilphata and another case in Uran. She highlighted the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and swift action from the police to address these growing safety concerns.

Thackeray urged for a rapid investigation and capture of the perpetrators, emphasizing that timely justice would help deter future crimes. The MNS delegation, including General Secretary Shalini Thackeray, Rita Gupta, and Vice President Snehal Jadhav, underscored the need for stronger safety protocols and prompt responses to protect women in the region.
