MLA Manda Mhatre holds meeting with NMMC officials to address key issues

Belapur MLA Manda Mhatre convened a meeting at the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) headquarters to discuss the progress of ongoing development projects and resolve pending issues within her constituency. The meeting was attended by Municipal Corporation City Engineer Shirish Aardwad, Deputy Commissioner, Divisional Assistant Commissioner, and various concerned officials.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted on the development works carried out in the Belapur constituency over the past three consecutive terms, from 2014 to 2024. Several issues affecting different areas, including Belapur, Seawoods, Nerul, Juinagar, Sanpada, Turbhe, and Vashi, were discussed.
City Engineer Shirish Aardwad expressed optimism about resolving these issues and assured that action would be taken against unauthorized hawkers. Key concerns raised during the meeting included health and education infrastructure, water shortage, encroachments, debris management, the need for senior citizens' gardens, and issues related to the Turbhe dumping ground.
Additional demands included the approval of the Bal Mata Hospital in Turbhe, the provision of a recreation centre for senior citizens in Juinagar, and improvements in the water supply for Dr. Ambedkar Nagar and Ganesh Nagar in Turbhe Ward No. 73.
City Engineer Aardwad emphasized that these issues are being prioritized, and appropriate actions will be taken to ensure their resolution at the earliest. The meeting highlighted the collaborative efforts of local authorities to continue the development of Navi Mumbai while addressing the concerns of its residents.
