The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has established a market on the main traffic road from Sector 50 to Sector 56 in the Dronagiri Node area, resulting in severe traffic congestion for motorists and commuters travelling between Uran and Navi Mumbai.
CIDCO had initiated the construction of a residential complex on plots spanning Sector 50 to Sector 56 in the Dronagiri Node area. However, the decision to set up a market on the primary traffic route of this complex has sparked considerable frustration among the public.
As a consequence, drivers and passengers travelling to and from Uran and Navi Mumbai are facing unnecessary traffic jams. The issue has prompted calls for the State’s Urban Development Minister to take immediate and effective measures to address CIDCO’s poor planning.
“The roads in Sector 51 of the Dronagiri Node area are crucial for civilian traffic. If CIDCO has authorized the market on such a vital traffic artery, they must be held accountable for any accidents that may occur,” said Manjula Waghmare, a concerned commuter.
The community is urging CIDCO to reconsider their decision and find a more suitable location for the market that does not disrupt the flow of traffic or endanger public safety.
