Manda Mhatre stable after an emergency heart procedure

Belapur: City legislator Manda Mhatre was rushed to Apollo Hospital in the early hours of March 17 following a cardiac emergency. She reportedly experienced severe chest pain and discomfort around 2:30 AM at her residence, prompting her family to act quickly and shift her to the hospital in Belapur.
Doctors conducted immediate diagnostic tests upon her arrival, confirming a heart attack. A team of specialist cardiologists performed an emergency procedure without delay. According to her son, Nilesh Mhatre, the surgery was successful, and timely intervention played a crucial role in stabilizing her condition.
“Two stents were placed during the procedure to clear the blockage. My mother is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under strict medical observation. Her vitals are stable, and she is responding well to the treatment,” Nilesh Mhatre said.
The sudden news of her hospitalization created concern across political and social circles in Navi Mumbai. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally connected via video call to inquire about her health, wishing her a speedy recovery and expressing confidence in her return to active politics.
Known for her dynamic leadership, Mhatre has been a strong advocate for the fishermen community, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure development in Belapur. As news spread, supporters and party workers gathered outside the hospital, while social media was flooded with messages wishing her a quick recovery.
