Late Banubai Gharat fish market re-opens its door for Shiranve villagers

In a bid to modernize and enhance urban infrastructure, Shiravane village is witnessing a remarkable transformation. The latest endeavour in this direction is the renovation of the Late Banubai Gharat Fish Market, marking a significant step towards becoming a smart village.

Former mayor Jayawat Sutar expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the fish market renovation project, emphasizing the village's commitment to progress. The renovation, costing approximately Rs. 70 lakhs, aimed to provide essential facilities and support to the local women fish sellers.

The revamped Late Banubai Gharat Fish Market now boasts of 75 well-constructed sheds, meticulously designed to ensure convenience for both sellers and consumers. The inclusion of amenities such as fans, electricity, and proper drainage further enhances the market's functionality and comfort.

During the inauguration ceremony, former Mayor Jaywant Sutar highlighted the importance of empowering local communities and promoting economic growth through such initiatives. The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Rajesh Patil, President of Shirvane Gramast Vikas Mandal, along with Nirmala Sutar and Aruna Bhoir.
