In a concerted effort to tackle unauthorized vending activities, the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal administration initiated strict action against hawkers operating outside Dombivli (E) station side and seized goods and reclaiming public spaces. Under the supervision of 'C' Ward area Assistant Commissioner Sanjay Kumawat and Kishore Thakur, enforcement teams targeted unauthorized vending spots in various areas including Madhuban Galli, Ursekar Wadi, Ramnagar ticket area, Kelkar Road, and the vicinity of the station.

During the operation, goods belonging to shopkeepers encroaching on the pavement were confiscated by municipal officials, effectively clearing the footpaths. Residents thanked the municipal administration for the initiative, noting the visible improvement in pedestrian access and the removal of unauthorized structures.

Emphasizing the need for sustained action, citizens urged the municipality to continue its crackdown on unauthorized vending and encroachment on public spaces. Furthermore, concerns were raised regarding the prolonged encroachment on reserved footpath spaces by shopkeepers, leading to intermittent congestion issues.

In addition to addressing unauthorized vending, residents highlighted the persistent problem of traffic congestion due to illegal parking outside the station premises. Despite the presence of designated no-parking zones, the absence of traffic police enforcement has resulted in congestion, particularly caused by two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
