Kalyan News: Police take action against six Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally

Kalyan: Police have taken action against six Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in Kalyan and Dombivli.
Following orders from Thane City Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbare, a search operation was carried out by Kalyan Police Parimandal III, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Zende, targeting Bangladeshi citizens residing illegally in the area.
During the operation, police questioned suspects in Kalyan and Dombivli, conducting thorough checks of their Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and other documents. It was revealed that six individuals were Bangladeshi nationals living illegally, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner Atul Zende.
A total of four cases have been filed: one at Mahatma Phule Chowk Police Station, one at Khadakpada Police Station, one at Bazarpeth Police Station, and one at Tilaknagar Police Station.
Further investigation is ongoing. The six individuals are being charged under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920, and Sections 13, 14(a), and 14(b) of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
Additionally, from January 2025 to the present, 16 cases have been filed against 38 Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in Kalyan. Deputy Commissioner Atul Zende assured that action on those found living illegally in Kalyan and Dombivli will continue.
