Mumbai: Ahead of India's 77th Independence Day, the Union Home Ministry has called upon citizens to participate in the Har-Ghar Tiranga campaign from August 9th to 15th, 2024. This initiative aims to foster national unity and pride by encouraging every household to display the national tricolour, the Tiranga.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently highlighted the success of the Har-Ghar Tiranga campaign, which began in 2022 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He emphasized the campaign’s role in reinforcing the basic unity of every Indian and urged citizens to once again display their patriotism by hoisting the national flag at their homes, taking selfies with it, and uploading them to the Har-Ghar Tiranga website: (harghartiranga.com) (https://harghartiranga.com).

Campaign Details:

- Duration: August 13 to August 15, 2024

- Objective: To celebrate India’s independence by displaying the national flag at homes, offices, and institutions across the country.

- Participation: Citizens can participate by hoisting the Tiranga, taking a selfie with it, and uploading it on the official campaign website.

Significance of the Indian Tricolour:

The journey of India’s national flag is a testament to the country's struggle for identity and independence. It began with various flags representing different freedom movements before the tricolour was officially adopted. Key milestones include:
