The momentous move took place during a gathering at the Chief Minister's residence in Thane, where Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde welcomed the new members into the party fold.

Pradeep Patil, who had a longstanding association with the Congress party in Ambernath and served as a corporator from 1995 until 2020, cited his admiration for the working style of Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde as a driving factor behind his decision to switch allegiance. Patil expressed his commitment to wholeheartedly serve the Shiv Sena alongside his colleagues in the future.

Joining Patil in this political transition were several notable figures from the Congress camp, including former corporator Archana Charan Rasal, Surendra Yadav, Baban Tambe, Manoj Devde, Bismilla Sheikh, and Congress woman city president Smita Bangera, among others. The influx of key office bearers and grassroots workers signals a significant shift in the political landscape of Ambernath.
