Kalyan: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri festival at the historic Durgadi Fort in Kalyan West. The annual celebration is being organised by the Fort Durgadi Navratri Festival Committee in association with the Shiv Sena Kalyan City Branch.
Shiv Sena city chief Ravi Patil recently visited the fort to inspect the ongoing renovation work. During his visit, he directed officials and workers to ensure that all preparations are completed promptly ahead of the festival. A review meeting was also held with party office bearers, servicemen, and volunteers to plan various religious and cultural programs scheduled during the festival period.
The festivities will commence on March 19, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, and will conclude on March 26, marking Ram Navami. Several key rituals and events have been planned to mark the occasion.
On March 25, a Navchandi Yajna Purnahuti will be performed in the morning, followed by a Mahaprasad Bhandara in the evening. The concluding day, March 26, will feature Shri Ram Prabhu Purush Sukta Abhishek and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Maha Aarti.
Organisers expect large participation from devotees, continuing the long-standing tradition of celebrating Navratri at Durgadi Fort with devotion and enthusiasm.
