DPS Nerul eco-warriors create awareness for environment conservation

“The Earth is what we have in common,” quoted American novelist, poet, essayist, environmental activist Wendell Berry once Highlighting the complex connections that exist between nature and mankind, students of Navi Mumbai-based Delhi Public School commemorated Earth Day.

The kindergarten students on the occasion took part in a spirited Earth Day rally. Holding vibrant placards made from recycled paper they spread the message of protecting and preserving our precious planet. 

An engaging ession, during which the young eco-warriors discussed ways to save trees, reduce pollution, and care for the environment was followed by a creative group collage-making activity and hands-on ‘leaf collecting’ exercise encouraging team work coupled with  the importance of keeping ones  surroundings clean and green.

The primary students on the other hand highlighted the importance of saving water and using it wisely through a thought-provoking skit, and followed it up with a pledge to conserve this precious resource.

Unleashing their streak of creativity, the students painted tote bags based on the theme of Earth Day 2025 - ‘Our Power, Our Planet’ while conveying the global message of producing power using renewable sources of energy.

The middle school students pondered over the looming environmental issues creatively through art and imagination for a resilient and sustainable future by transforming trash to treasure based on the theme ‘Reduce – Reuse – Recycle’ while  promoting a healthier, greener, and more vibrant environment.
