CR / WR To Operate Mega / Jumbo Blocks on 18th August

No direct connectivity between Navi Mumbai and Mumbai
Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) will operate Mega Block & Jumbo Blocks on its suburban sections on Sunday 18th August, 2024 for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works including maintenance of tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment, that are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety.
The details of the CR Mega Block is given below:
A) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti UP & DN Harbour lines
From: 11.10 am to 4.40 pm
UP Harbour line Special services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai leaving Panvel / Belapur / Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and DN Harbour line Special services to Vashi / Belapur / Panvel leaving CSMT / Vadala Road from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm will remain suspended.
However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period at a frequency of approximately 20 minutes during the block period.
Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.
B) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Bandra UP & DN Harbour lines
From: 11.10 am to 4.40 pm
UP Harbour line Special services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai leaving Goregaon / Bandra from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm and DN Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving CSMT, Mumbai from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.
On the UP Harbour Line the Last local before the block for CSMT Mumbai will depart Bnadra at 10.20am and the First local after the block for CSMT Mumbai will depart Goregaon at 4.58 pm.
On DN Harbour Line the Last local on the other hand before the block will be Goregaon Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 10.22 am and the First local after the block will be Bandra Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 4.51 pm.
Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.
C) Thane – Diva UP & DN Main Line (5th and 6th lines)
From: 10.50 am to 03.20 pm
The above block will result in diversion of UP and DN Suburban services as detailed below:
All UP Fast/Semi fast Locals for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai starting with Ambarnath Local leaving Kalyan at 10.28 am to Badlapur Local leaving Kalyan at 03.17 pm will be diverted on UP Slow Line between Kalyan and Thane stations and will halt at Diva, Mumbra and Kalwa stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts & will further be re-diverted on UP Fast Line at Thane station and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than the scheduled arrival.
All DN Fast/Semi Fast Locals starting with from Badlapur Local leaving CSMT Mumbai at 09.46 am to Asangaon Local leaving CSMT Mumbai at 02.42 pm will be diverted on DN Slow Line between Thane and Kalyan stations and will halt at Kalwa, Mumbra and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than the scheduled arrival.
D) Santacruz – Goregaon UP and DN Fast Lines
From: 10:00 am to 3 pm
Due to the five hour block between Santacruz and Goregaon stations on the Western Railway, all UP and DN Fast line trains will be diverted to the UP and DN Slow line between Santacruz and Goregaon Stations.
Consequently, several UP and DN suburban services will be cancelled, and select Andheri and Borivali trains will terminate at Goregaon on the Harbour line.
Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
