Bhayandar: BJP leader Adv Ravi Vyas has filed a formal complaint with the commissioner of police Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar (MBVV), after allegedly receiving life-threatening messages via WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

The threats, reportedly originating from international numbers, are suspected to be linked to Vyas's vocal campaign against an 'unauthorised' Dargah constructed on government land in Uttan.

Vyas said the threats were received on May 29 in the form of a WhatsApp voice message and messages on Facebook Messenger. According to Vyas, the threatening voice message used abusive language and warned him to stay away from the issue of the 'illegal' religious structure, failing which he and his family would face "serious consequences."

“I have submitted all digital evidence, including audio clips, mobile numbers, screenshots, and URLs to the Anti-Extortion Cell," he added.

The threats appear to be connected to Vyas’s recent efforts to draw attention to alleged unauthorized construction at the Baleshah Peer Dargah in Uttan. He has previously raised concerns over potential threats to national security and unlawful activities in the area, demanding decisive action from the state government.
