Ashish Gautam selected for Maharashtra State Kho-Kho team for National Championship

Ashish Gautam, a Class 9 student of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Vidyalaya, Ambedkar Nagar, Navi Mumbai, has been selected for the Maharashtra State Under-17 Boys Kho-Kho Team. He will represent the state in the upcoming National Championship to be held in Ayodhya.
The achievement has earned Ashish widespread appreciation and congratulations from all levels, including former Navi Mumbai Mayor Sudhakar Sonawane, Ranjana Sonawane, NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Education Sangharatna Khilare, NMMC Education Officer Aruna Yadav, and NMMC Sports Officer Revappa Gurav.
The selection letter for the prestigious tournament was received by the school two days ago. As part of the preparation, the Maharashtra State Team camp will be held at the District Sports Complex in Sangli from 12th to 18th December, after which the team will proceed to Ayodhya for the championship.
To mark the occasion, Principal Amol Kharsamble, Sports Teacher Amol Kumar Waghmare, and teachers Vinod Zapde, Rinki Kushwaha, Meena Sutar, and Soni Yadav felicitated Ashish with a Tulsi plant while extending their best wishes for the competition.
Ashish is no stranger to success. Two years ago, he won a Gold Medal for his team in the Under-14 category and was honoured with the prestigious Bharat Award. Known for his remarkable skills in both attack and defence, Ashish has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent and discipline in the game of Kho-Kho.
Under the guidance of coaches Pratap Shelar, Swapnil Patil, Mahesh Shinde, Amol Kumar Waghmare, and Dinesh Bhoye, Ashish has mastered the skills required to excel at the highest level. His dedication and success have brought pride to Vihang Krida Mandal, Shahu Maharaj Vidyalaya, and the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
