Ulwe: Akasa Air will shift its Mumbai–Jeddah flight operations from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) from December 2026, expanding international operations at the new airport.
The move was announced on Monday by Akasa Air and Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) as part of efforts to develop the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s dual-airport system and accommodate growing passenger demand.
The airline already operates flights from NMIA. The relocation of the Jeddah service will add to the airport’s international operations, providing passengers from Navi Mumbai and neighbouring areas with an alternative departure point for travel to Saudi Arabia.
Bookings for the Mumbai–Jeddah service opened on October 26. Passengers can reserve tickets through Akasa Air’s official website, its Android and iOS mobile applications, and leading online travel agencies.
The shift is part of NMIA’s phased development as a major aviation hub for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The airport is expected to play an increasingly important role alongside CSMIA in meeting the region’s growing air travel requirements.
The relocation also marks a further step in Akasa Air’s expansion at NMIA, as the airline adjusts its operations to support the airport’s growing role in international travel.
Passengers are advised to check their booking details and departure airport before travelling, particularly for flights scheduled around the transition in December.
