Navi Mumbai: On June 4, seven truckloads of debris were dumped into the Lotus Lake in sector 27, Nerul, in broad daylight. The law is being flouted despite the intervention of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), CIDCO is adamant to reclaim the wetland flouting the order from the Bombay High Court and Supreme Court which was given for the protection of wetlands. The citizen groups Save Navi Mumbai environment and Save Lotus Lake  are relentlessly fighting to protect the lake, they demand immediate intervention of CM Devendra Fadnavis and the Prime Minister's Office.
