Ulhasnagar News: Narcotics worth Rs1.30 lakh seized

Ulhasnagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler from Ambarnath (West) and seized narcotics worth Rs 1.30 lakh, including ganja and charas.
“We received a tip-off that an individual would be arriving in Bhagat Singh Nagar in Ambarnath (West), with a consignment of drugs for sale. A team was mobilized and the suspect was apprehended,” Baban Bande, assistant sub-inspector, Ulhasnagar Crime Branch Unit 4, said.
The accused has been identified as Allabaksh Gugudwali Sheikh, 54, a resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar. A search of the accused led to the recovery of 1.42 kg of ganja estimated to be worth Rs 90,000 and 25 gm of charas valued at Rs 40,000.
During the course of the investigation, police have unearthed information about a woman accomplice of Sheikh. The accused has been identified as Shabana, a resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar, and police have launched a hunt.
Sheikh has been remanded to police custody.
