Commuters traversing the Sant Savalaram Maharaj Kalyan Shil Marg, linking Kalyan, Dombivli, Thane, and Navi Mumbai, can now anticipate swifter journeys as three new lanes on the Shilphata flyover have been inaugurated recently. This expansion marks a significant stride towards easing traffic congestion along this crucial route, providing respite to drivers navigating between Kalyan, Dombivli, Ambernath, Badlapur, Thane, and Navi Mumbai.

Initiated under the auspices of Kalyan Lok Sabha Constituency MP, Dr. Shrikant Shinde, the flyover's augmentation aims to streamline travel for residents and commuters accessing Thane and Navi Mumbai from Kalyan, Dombivli, Ambernath, and Badlapur. The project, part of a broader effort to alleviate congestion on the Sant Savalaram Maharaj Kalyan Shil Marg, saw the road expanded to six lanes last year, offering immediate relief to motorists.

In its latest phase, the completion of an additional six lanes on the flyover at Shilphata Junction along National Highway No. 48 in the Mumbra area promises further alleviation of traffic bottlenecks. This milestone comes after the inauguration of three lanes by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde earlier this year, facilitating smoother traffic flow in both directions.

The tireless advocacy of Dr. Shrikant Shinde, in collaboration with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), has been instrumental in realizing this infrastructure boom. With a total investment of Rs. 119 crore, the flyover now spans 740 meters in length and 12 meters in width, ensuring sustained relief from Shilphata's chronic traffic woes.

The expanded infrastructure not only addresses immediate congestion concerns but also heralds a new era of efficiency, saving commuters valuable time and reducing fuel consumption. As motorists from Badlapur to Dombivli and beyond embrace the enhanced connectivity, the flyover stands as a testament to proactive governance and community-driven development.
