Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the much-anticipated Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu on January 12. The inauguration is expected to witness a massive turnout of more than 50,000 citizens.

A pre-inauguration planning meeting was recently convened at the Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex in Ulwe, attended by notable figures including State Public Minister Ravindra Chavan and former MP Lok leader Ramsheth Thakur. The gathering comprised esteemed personalities, including former MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik, MLA Prashant Thakur, MLA Mahesh Baldi, and several other distinguished individuals representing various districts and local bodies.

“The impending inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi signifies a vital moment for the area's populace. The event, scheduled at the grounds of the Navi Mumbai Airport area, is anticipated to draw over 50,000 citizens eager to glean insights from the Prime Minister's valuable guidance”, stated State Public Minister Ravindra Chavan.

During the meeting the primary focus was on streamlining arrangements for the large-scale gathering, encompassing aspects such as transportation, accommodations, and refreshments. Notably, Ravindra Chavan provided crucial guidance and directives to ensure the seamless execution of the event.

The sea link project holds significant promise for the burgeoning developmental landscape of Uran- Panvel. With the emergence of the Navi Mumbai Airport and the C-Link, the region is poised to become a global nexus, offering connectivity and accessibility to Mumbai and beyond. The proximity between this area and Mumbai is expected to catalyse rapid growth not just for urban centres but also for villages across Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Palghar.
