Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate tops Maharashtra in CCTNS Online Operations

In a remarkable achievement, the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate has secured the top position in the state of Maharashtra in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) ranking. The accolade follows the Commissionerate's comprehensive transition to conducting all police-related activities online, from the registration of First Information Reports (FIR) to investigations and charge sheets through the CCTNS system.

The Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Milind Bharambe, had set an ambitious goal to digitize and streamline all police operations upon assuming office. The emphasis on discipline and efficiency prompted instructions to enhance the functionality of the CCTNS system and shift towards a fully online operational approach. The efforts have yielded significant success, catapulting the Commissionerate from its previous ranking of 36th in December 2022 to the top position in the recent CCTNS ranking.

Commissioner Milind Bharambe and Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Deepak Sakore expressed their appreciation by felicitating all officers and women enforcers of police stations within the Navi Mumbai Police Force who played pivotal roles in the successful implementation of CCTNS.

The CCTNS system mandates every police force in the state to input information in forms ranging from FIRs to convictions, ensuring a comprehensive and standardized database. The Navi Mumbai Police Force not only achieved a 100 percent filling rate for these critical forms but also adeptly utilized key portals such as CRI, MAC Portal, ACJC Portal, and ITSSO Portal under the CCTNS system. This strategic use of technology has notably facilitated the handling of crimes, including vehicle theft, tracking the criminal history of accused individuals, and addressing cases related to women and children.

The monthly ranking of CCTNS, announced by the Additional Director General of Police, Crime Investigation Department, saw a significant leap for the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate. The remarkable achievement is attributed to the concerted efforts of Commissioner Milind Bharambe, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Deepak Sakore, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amit Kale, Assistant Commissioner of Police Gajanan Rathore, Chief Assistant Police Inspector Suvarna Raut of CCTNS Cell, and her dedicated team.
