Navi Mumbai News: Gang of 4 arrested for theft from MIDC factory

Turbhe: Police have arrested a gang of four in connection with the theft of ship turbo engine parts worth Rs 93 lakh from a company in the MIDC area.

The accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the theft from Turbocharging Industries and Services India Pvt. Ltd. and the stolen goods valued at over 74 lakh recovered from their possession.

According to police, on the early morning of May 25, the four had broken into the warehouse of Turbocharging Industries and stolen high-value items including compressor wheels, bearing sets, special tools, and an induction stove—altogether worth Rs 93 lakh.

Assistant police inspector Wasim Shaikh and his team initiated a detailed investigation. During the course of the probe, the police reviewed over 40 CCTV footage clips from the crime scene and nearby areas.

Using technical analysis, the police traced the suspects to Indira Nagar in Turbhe. Acting on the intelligence, the police apprehended four individuals, Krishnakant Jatav (20), Sanjay Mandal (27), Rahul Bhavar (41), and Chandu Gautam (25).

Upon interrogation, it was revealed that all the accused were involved in the scrap business and stole machine parts from companies during the night.
