Navi Mumbai: Vijay Singhal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, conducted a comprehensive site visit on April 29 to assess the progress of two major infrastructure projects, the Kharghar-Turbhe tunnel link road and the CIDCO Housing Scheme near Kharghar Railway Station.

Accompanied by Joint Managing Directors Shantanu Goel and Dr Raja Dayanidhi, along with Chief Engineer Sheela Karunakaran and senior engineers Prabhakar Phulari and Santosh Ombhase, Singhal reviewed the pace of work and emphasised timely completion of both projects.

The Kharghar-Turbhe Tunnel Link Road is a key infrastructure initiative aimed at directly connecting Turbhe in North Navi Mumbai to Kharghar in the south. The proposed 5.49-km four-lane route will begin from the Sion-Panvel Highway, opposite Juinagar Railway Station, and end at Central Park, Kharghar.

A 1.763-km tunnel section is planned as part of this corridor to ease traffic flow and enhance connectivity.

In addition, Singhal reviewed CIDCO’s transit-oriented housing project near Kharghar Railway Station, envisioned as part of the city’s commitment to modern urban living. Kharghar, one of Navi Mumbai’s premier residential nodes, continues to attract homebuyers thanks to CIDCO’s strategic planning, infrastructure, and lifestyle amenities.

During the visit, Singhal directed officials to accelerate project execution while ensuring that timelines and quality standards are strictly maintained.

These projects reflect CIDCO’s continued push to enhance Navi Mumbai’s urban landscape through integrated infrastructure and sustainable development.
