Following Newsband's report on passengers experiencing discomfort due to lack of a proper bus shelter near Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers in Sector-10 on Vashi Koparkhairane Road, MLA Manda Mhatre has called for immediate action. MLA Manda Mhatre demanded that the Thane District Collector and District Planning Officer allocate Rs. 10 lakhs from the local MLA Development Fund earmarked for the 2023-24 festival period.

Highlighting the absence of a bus shelter at this crucial spot, social activist Vikas Sorte raised the plight of passengers who wait for the bus at the stop. He demanded that MLA Manda Mhatre step in to help improve the facilities for passengers.

Expressing happiness over the development, Sorte said, “It is heartening to see that MLA Manda Mhatre has responded to the news and has demanded funds from the Thane District Collector and District Planning Officer. I am sure that soon, a proper bus shelter will be made available for the passengers.”
