The officials from various Mathadi Boards and workers have come together to demand the nomination of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate General Secretary and former MLC Narendra Patil for the Satara Lok Sabha constituency in the forthcoming elections.
A joint meeting was convened at the Maharashtra State Mathadi, Transport, and General Workers Union office in Mathadi Bhawan, Navi Mumbai on March 14, where this decision was unanimously reached. Narendra Patil, a prominent leader of the Maharashtra State Mathadi, Transport, and General Workers Union, expressed his support for the demand during the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Joint General Secretary, Chandrakant Patil and Public Relations Officer, Poptrao Deshmukh provided detailed information to the workers regarding the nomination process. It was emphasized that Patil's previous experience as a candidate in the 2019 elections, where he secured 4,52,498 votes, demonstrated his strong support base in the region.
During the 2019 elections, Patil, nominated by the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance, garnered significant backing from Mathadi workers, who tirelessly campaigned for his victory within a short timeframe. This time around, the workers expressed confidence in Patil's ability to secure victory with better planning and coordination.
