Gutkha and tobacco worth Rs 3.39 lakh seized in Jasai

Uran: Uran police raided a stall in Jasai on April 26 and seized banned gutkha, pan masala, and aromatic tobacco products worth Rs 3.39 lakh, which were stored for sale.
The person responsible, Nehal Vadera, has absconded, and the police have registered a case and launched a search for him.
The police received a tip-off about the banned products being stored for sale at a closed stall near Flamingo Hotel in Jasai.
Acting on the information, and under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr. Vishal Nehul and Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Misal, Police Sub-Inspector Sanjay Rathod led a raid at the stall around 10:00 p.m. on April 26.
Upon inspection, the police discovered the gutkha, pan masala, and tobacco products in nylon sacks, amounting to a value of Rs 3.39 lakh. The goods were seized, and a case was filed against Nehal Vadera, with a manhunt underway for his arrest.
