Family Court inaugurated in Belapur

A Family Court was inaugurated at Belapur Court on Saturday with Justice Bharti Dangre of the Bombay High Court doing the honours.

Prominent figures present at the inauguration included Chief District and Sessions Judge of Thane, Amit Shete, Judge Rachna Tehra of Navi Mumbai Family Court, President of Navi Mumbai Lawyers Association Sunil Mokal, and other senior lawyers and officers were present during the inauguration.

The new Family Court, situated on the sixth floor of Belapur Court, aims to streamline legal processes, reduce the burden on Thane Court, and save both time and money for individuals seeking legal resolution. Commencing operations starting Monday, will approximately handle 2000 pending and ongoing cases.

The court infrastructure is well-supported with the approval of ten crucial positions, including a Judge, Manager-1, Superintendent-1, Assistant Superintendent-1, Stenographer-1, Senior Clerk-1, Clerk-3, and Bailiff-1. Additionally, external system appointments have filled four positions, encompassing a vehicle driver and three constables/guards. Furthermore, four regular posts have been sanctioned for Marriage Counsellors and support staff, consisting of Marriage Counselor-2, Stylist-1, Clerk-1, and one constable hired through an external system.
