CBSE and SSC results announced, girls outshine boys

The much-awaited CBSE and SSC results were announced on May 13. A total of 16,10,908 students registered for the Maharashtra SSC 2025 exams across nine divisional boards, with 15,98,553 appearing for the tests. Of these, 14,87,399 students successfully passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 93.04%.

For the CBSE board, across India a total of 2,371,939 students appeared for the Class 10 exams this year, out of which 2,221,636 passed resulting in the pass percentage of 93.66 per cent. Over 1.99 lakh candidates scored above 90 per cent, while more than 45,000 candidates bagged more than 95 per cent.

Students were able to access and download their CBSE and SSC Class 10 results once the official result link was activated. For SSC results the link was activated after 1:00 p.m.

In Maharashtra, girls have once again surpassed boys in overall performance in SSC exams. This year, 96.14% of girls cleared the exam, compared to 92.31% of boys, creating a performance gap of 3.83% in favour of female students.

There was a similar trend for the CBSE results, across India girls 
secured the academic lead with a pass percentage of 95.00%, compared to 92.63% for boys, a difference of 2.37%.

In the Maharashtra SSC results, Konkan emerged as the top-performing region, securing an impressive pass percentage of 98.28%. On the other hand, Nagpur recorded the lowest pass percentage among all divisions, with only 90.78% of students passing the exam.
